Exploring the Iyashi Dôme: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Detox

Inflammation is the silent accelerator of aging—fueling everything from brain fog and joint pain to chronic disease and visible skin aging. This phenomenon, known as inflammaging, is now recognized as a root cause of most age-related conditions. Add to that the daily burden of environmental toxins and heavy metal exposure we all face—and it's clear that deep, regular detox isn’t a luxury—it’s essential.

Exploring the Iyashi Dôme: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Detox

That is why I am thrilled to introduce the Iyashi Dôme to our Ultimate Wellness™ community. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hahhah Cohen, the official distributor of the Iyashi Dôme in the Americas, to experience this advanced far infrared therapy firsthand—and I’m excited to share my personal insights and results.

We are excited for Iyashi Dôme’s upcoming participation as a sponsor at the Ultimate Wellness™ Conference, taking place September 26–28, 2025, at the iconic Faena Forum in Miami Beach.

What Is the Iyashi Dôme?

At first glance, the Iyashi Dôme is a sleek, beautifully crafted infrared sauna. But its power lies in its patented Japanese black carbon technology, offering a deeper and more effective detox than traditional infrared saunas.

The concept comes from the experience of Shogo Imura, CEO and inventor of the Iyashi Dôme. Half-Japanese and half-French, Imura was inspired by his family’s ancestral tradition in the Ibusuki region of Japan, where people bury themselves in black carbon-rich sands to support healing and detoxification.

He adapted this practice into modern wellness technology. The result is a unique experience that supports:

  • Muscle and sleep recovery

  • Heavy metal detoxification

  • Reduction of systemic inflammation

  • Fat burning—up to 600 calories per session

Why It’s Different

Traditional infrared saunas primarily induce Type I sweat, which is mostly water weight. The Iyashi Dôme goes far deeper—stimulating cellular and mitochondrial detoxification. The black carbon plates allow the far-infrared rays to penetrate muscle tissue and even activate detox at the mitochondrial level, helping the body release deeply stored toxins.

Another unique feature: your head remains outside the dome. This replicates the traditional Japanese method and allows users to handle higher temperatures more comfortably, increasing both safety and effectiveness.

Customizable & Accessible

The Iyashi Dôme is finished with high-end Italian leather and wood, and the design is not only beautiful—it’s fully customizable. Spas and wellness centers can choose the leather color, the wood finish, and even add their logo.

It’s ideal for:

  • Wellness centers and spas

  • Sports recovery programs

  • Hotels and retreats

  • Individuals for home use

Many clients are surprised to learn that it's tablet-operated and doesn't require a licensed technician. That makes it highly accessible for home installation.

Who Should Try the Iyashi Dôme?

The Iyashi Dôme is a fit for almost anyone looking to:

  • Detox from environmental toxins

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Improve metabolic health

  • Enhance focus and physical performance

However, it is not recommended for:

  • Pregnant women

  • Individuals with serious heart conditions

Everyone else is welcome to experience it, including at our upcoming conference in Miami.

What to Expect from a Session

Each session is 30 minutes and can be set to:

  • Mode 1: 30 minutes of high-intensity detox (most popular)

  • Mode 2: A lighter 60-minute session

It’s split into two 15-minute phases:

  • Stomach down to target lower back, organs, and muscles.

  • Turned on the back for more intense heat and deeper fat detox, especially targeting visceral fat.

During my own session, I was amazed by the intensity of the sweat—even my scalp and face were sweating, despite being outside the dome. The sweat was different. It felt purifying and deep—not just surface moisture.

Afterward, hydration is key. Hahhah made sure I had plenty of water and reminded me that detox continues well after you step out of the dome.

Measurable Results

Many users track their outcomes using tools like the Oura Ring or body composition scans. Some benefits seen after just one session:

  • Reduced metabolic age

  • Improved HRV

  • Better cognitive function

  • Enhanced gut health

Consistent use—at least two sessions per week—can lead to long-term improvements in energy, digestion, mobility, and overall wellness.

To elevate your detox experience even more, Hahhah recommends pairing the Iyashi Dôme with cold exposure therapy. Cold first, then heat, is the optimal order to engage the nervous system and improve muscle recovery.
